What a week! IPG's 2023 Technical Meeting was hosted by the Alexir team in Edenbridge, England from April 23rd-28th. More than 60 participants from around the globe, including IPG’s active and associate members were warmly welcomed by Alexir Packaging Chairman Robert Davison and Partnership Managing Director Jeremy Keable.

Alexir is Established in 1989 and is the only UK-independent business in the FMCG sector that can create, package, and pack your products from design to delivery within one partnership.
Alexir Partnership is a ‘’ from design to delivery’’ company consisting of Alexir Creative, Alexir Packaging, Alexir International, Alexir Co-Packing, and Alexir Brands. They have 2 manufacturing sites, one in Edenbridge and one in Uckfield, and is a multiple award winner for packaging.

IPG had a visit to Alexir’s two facilities, Carton Converting based in Edenbridge and Co-Packing based in Uckfield. Our members witnessed Alexir’s team's passion for carton packaging, they proudly presented to our members that have developed many innovative packaging solutions for their customers and have been first to market with carton-based packs in industries dominated by plastic. Our members were amazed by the Employee-owned Trust system in Alexir, on 27th September 2019, 100% ownership of the Alexir business was transferred to the Alexir Partnership Employee Ownership Trust, they believe that Employee-owned companies are more innovative because managers go out of their way to consult, share information about the company, and give staff responsibility.

The next Annual Technical Meeting is scheduled to take place in Tampere, Finland hosted by Pyroll  Pakkaukset Oy right after the Drupa visit from June 8th-12th, 2024.
