IPG's 60th Annual General Meeting hosted by PAWI Verpackungen AG

The international Packaging Group had its most recent management meeting in Zurich, Switzerland from September 18th to 21st. PAWI Verpackungen AG hosted the meeting and Andreas Keller, the managing director of the PAWI group treated his colleagues to a well-organized and informative meeting.

The PAWI Group consists of three companies in Switzerland and Germany. They develop marketing and packaging concepts and produce, store, and deliver cartons and paper packaging. They focus on packaging and everything it requires: ideas, designs, production expertise, and efficient logistics right up to the end customer.

At the meeting in September, there were 22 members represented overall. The decision-makers joined to share their challenges and successes as well as exchange ideas for future developments.
Two new members of the Board and the new chairman were selected, Tom Acket, Managing Director of the Dutch member, Acket, to replace Andreas Keller, Managing Director of PAWI Verpackungen AG, Switzerland, and Masataka Furubayashi, Director of the Japanese member, Furubayashi Shiko Co., Ltd. to replace Sylvie Casanavé Péré, CEO of the French member, Posson Packaging. Edward Zumbiel, President of the American member Zumbiel Packaging was unanimously voted by the general assembly as the new chairman of IPG to replace Andreas Keller, Managing Director of PAWI Verpackungen AG, Switzerland after terminating his term of four years as the chairman of IPG Association.
 
There were 16 company presentations with the Associate members presenting their latest innovations and planned developments. The focus of the meeting was on the supply chain issues, sustainability vision, agile company structure, and plans for the young generations.
 
The invited special guest speaker was:
Jo Dietrich, co-founder of Zeam.
Business consulting company Zeam connects companies with the future. Jo told our members, what they have to offer in order to win and hold the new talents.
The invited Guest vendor was:
Michael Kohmann managing director of Kohmann GmbH & Co. KG customized and special-purpose machinery.
 
One of the highlights of the meeting was a visit to PAWI Verpackungen AG, where the members witnessed their last machinery investments, and new warehouse management system and were amazed by PAWI’s strategic priorities for the future and their approach to agile business management and digitalization. Enthusiastic employees – enthusiastic customers – long-term success! That is what drives the PAWI team.
 
The Group meets again for its Annual Technical Meeting hosted by Alexir in April 2023 in Edenbridge, The UK, to focus on sharing the latest technical issues.
